A Day to Rest!!

Today is Sunday and it's the day after the picnic. Dad and I are so tired that we both feel as though we ran a marathon. All we plan to do today is eat and sleep and sleep some more. We did get a chance to get outside for a few minutes while we were preparing a BBQ lunch. The kids had fun playing with the bubble machine.

And yes, it was pajama day too!!!

Bencivenga/Woolfson Family Picnic 2008

Our annual family picnic was this weekend and we were all very excited for the day to come. Unfortunatley we woke up at 6:30am to a thunder storm. Now, for most people this would destory their plans, but not this family. We hung tight until about 7:30 am when it looked as though the weather would clear up. And boy did it ever!! The day turned out to be great and everyone had an amazing time. Here are some pictures:

Tobay Tri-Athalon

This weekend Team JSR took part in the Tobay Tri-athalon in Oyster Bay. For the first time Team JSR had an official re-lay team and Dad was a part of it. The team consisted of Aunt Annemarie doing the 5/8 of a mile swim, Daddy doing the 9 mile bike ride, and Aunt Michelle doing the 3 mile run. Also, Grandpa, Uncle David, and Sarah took part in the tri-athalon too. The team did great!!

A Greenport Sunday

In keeping up with the weekend, on Sunday we headed out East to Greenport to hang with the Mammina clan with the Hoisik's in tow. The kids had a great time in the water and back up at the house.

Busy Weekend!!

This week Uncle Rodney came in for a visit. He stayed with us from Wednesday until Saturday when we went to Lolo's house for the day. We got there in time to have brunch and then we went to Bayonne Park where the kids laughed, ran around, and got wet in the sprinklers. Following the park we went back to the house and then headed to Harold's for dinner. (thanks Lolo, for the pictures)

On Sunday, I took the kids to Grandma's to go swimming for the day.
Unfortunatley the water was so cold that it was hard to stay in the pool. We called it a day and went inside to nap and good thing cause it started to pour. Sunday night dinner was enjoyed by all following a horseback ride from Uncle Steve

Missing You - An Update from the Alves'

Its been about 5 months now since Aunt Kristine and Uncle Abel moved to Florida. It still seems like they are just away on vacation. We have been doing a good job staying touch by phone, texts, video messaging and emails. From what Aunt Kristine says Adelina is becoming a handful and Andrew will start his first day of school next week. Only another 5 months until we see them in Disney. Cant' wait!!! Here are some pictures Aunt Krisitne text me:

Looks like they haven't changed all that much, which is good :)!
