Halloween 2008 - The Justice League is Upon Us!!

Halloween started out a little bitter sweet this year. I had already planned to take the day off of work so that I could spend the day with you guys and I also found out that for the next couple of months I would be spending all my days with you guys. (I'll explain when your older).

The day started off with Hailey getting ready for school. Her class was invited to wear their costumes and attend the Halloween bash. Parents were invited to join the class for the first 1/2 hour which Joey and I did. All the kids looked great.

After school we followed our normal routine, nap time. When that was over we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's so that we can meet up with Uncle Chris, Aunt Michelle, Aunt Annemarie and Uncle Steve this way we could all trick or treat together. For the last few years your Dad has been trying to get all the kids to dress up as the Justice League. Well this year he got his wish and completly by accident. Here's how the League showed: Hailey - batgirl, Joey - superman, John - Batman, Collin - Robin, Kaityln - Wonderwoman. It was great!!! The kids had so much fun running from house to house which they all did on their own. Joey did great for a few blocks running with all the kids. Once he started to run into people's houses we decided he needed a rest for a bit. All in all a great day!!

First Field Trip - Hailey

Today, Hailey had her first official school field trip. The Child's Play 3 year old class went to Hicks Nursery to visit Otto the Ghost, feed some animals, enjoy a hay ride and of course pick some pumpkins. The kids were all so cute and this mom was exhausted when it was all over.

Pumpkin Picking 08

We took our annual trip to White Post Farms today for some good pumpkin picking. The kids had fun although Joey was a bit grumpy since it was his nap time. As always Grandma, Aunt Danielle, Aunt Annemarie, Uncle Steve and Kaitlyn went with us along with Uncle Mark, Erica and Dana. Aunt Tracy was away and was missed!

After enjoying the playgrounds, the hay ride and the train ride, we finally headed over to the pumpkin patch where Joey had the greatest time turning all the pumpkins right side up and making sure they were all in the proper order. Hailey had fun too and made sure she picked the best pumpkin with no "boo-boos"

At the end of the day we headed over to the big blow up slides where we were told Hailey was "too big" to go on the kiddie slides. "TOO BIG", I was shocked and sad all at the same time. This meant that Hailey was able to go on the biggest slide they had with her cousin Dana.

Thats Hailey on the right and Dana on the left in the picture above!!

Mommy's Day Off - Take 2

I had off from work again today in honor of Yom Kippur so I made plans to get together with some old friends from high school and their kids. The house went from being quiet and clean to being loud and messy. But, it was worth it cause the kids had a great time!!

Joey Turns 2!

Our little man turned 2 years old today and what a day it was. During the week I had taken him for his birthday pictures which came out GREAT!!! Today we woke up to have breakfast and than we took the kids to Adventureland. They both went on every ride that they could and had a great time.

As soon as we got in the car to head home Joey fell right to sleep. We got home and I continued to straighten up the house in anticipation of our family gathering. At 5:00 we were joined by the entire Baccaray clan including Uncle Rodney who surprised Joey with a visit. We had Joey's favorite, Pizza and got to spend some time together before the other guests arrived. At 7:00 the rest of the family joined us to help us celebrate Joey's day.

Mommy's Day Off!

With the jewish holidays upon us I made plans for the kids and I to catch up with some friends. On Tuesday we took Joey for his 2nd birthday photo (more on that to come), and than I was able to enjoy a nice nap with the kids. We woke up to straighten up the house as Aunt Lalaena and Brayden were coming over for dinner since Uncle Mike was away. I took this opportunity to get some good pictures of the kids:

On Wednesday we had plans with Phyllis and Lori to get together with all the kids. Unfortunately, Nicholas and Ryan were sick so Lori couldn't join us but we headed out to Phyllis' anyway with Kaitlyn in tow since her day care was closed.

The kids had a wonderful time and tired poor Phyllis and I out. They played together immediately and didn't take their normal hour to warm up to one another. I guess we need to keep these play dates going so that that pattern continues.
